Your Pathway to
Belonging at Riverbend
Right here in Bend, Jesus is building his Church for the day of his glorious return.
We’d love for you to become part of that family Jesus is building here at Riverbend.
Your First Steps Into Family
1. Gather on Sundays
Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship Jesus, learn from Scripture, celebrate the Lord’s table, and pray for one another. Joining us for worship is the first way you can participate in the life of Riverbend.
Gathering times: 9am, 11am, 5pm
Location: 334 NW Newport Ave. Bend Or 97703
2. Start Meeting
People
Belonging happens at the pace of relationship. You can start meeting people by coming to an event or attending one of our weekly prayer gatherings. We’ve also found one of the best ways to build relationships is by joining a serve team.
3. Attend the
Welcome Lunch
At the Welcome Lunch, you will be introduced to Riverbend’s history, mission and values. You will also learn more about your next steps to becoming a part of the Riverbend family. We will share a meal together, where you can meet others who are new and have a chance to ask questions of staff and leadership.
4. Complete the Community Launch Course
Jesus taught us that being his disciple means joining the family of God. The community launch course is an interactive, three-part class on Sunday afternoons that we host three times annually. At the launch course, you’ll explore what the Scriptures teach about Jesus-style community with Riverbend staff and other people like you, who are becoming a part of the Riverbend Family.
Interested in leading a Riverbend Community? We’d love to hear from you and discuss the commitments of leading a community.
5. Live in
Community
Help launch or join a Riverbend Community. This small, home church style gathering is where you become a full participant in our church’s mission: Practicing the way of Jesus together for the renewal of Bend. In community you will share life around a table, put into practice Jesus’s teachings, and serve the city of Bend.
6. The Pathway Continues
Many will stay and become leaders. Others will be sent to new churches, cities and vocations. Whatever the case for you, we are all brothers and sisters in Jesus’ family — for the praise of His glory!
