Helping Hands

“Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others” Titus 3:14a

As followers of Jesus, we believe mercy and compassion are central to the Kingdom of God. Therefore, we are called to engage faithfully in areas of brokenness in our community. Helping Hands is a ministry of Riverbend that seeks to meet the tangible and urgent needs of people in our church family who may not be able to afford professional services. The Helping Hands team is a group of men and women who minister with their skills, resources and time.

Here are a few examples of the areas we like to serve: light construction and repair, light automotive repair, moving help, manual labor, and yard-work. If you have skills and availability, begin by registering to serve on the Helping Hands team below.

If you have an urgent need you cannot afford to resolve, please use the practical need request form to let us know about it. A volunteer from the team will reach out to you within 48 hours of your request. *Please note: we will always commit to pray and support you, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet every need. Your request may be outside the scope of what our team is able to perform.
