• Create safe, joyful, Jesus-centered environments where kids and students feel known, loved, and invited into life with God.

• Lead Riverbend Kids (birth–5th) at a high level, working closely with a part-time Kids Coordinator. 

• Give hands-on leadership to Riverbend Youth (6th–12th)—gatherings, teaching, retreats, and small group discipleship.

• Build and pastor volunteer teams who are excellent role models and disciple-makers.

• Partner with parents as the primary disciplers of their kids and students.

• Help develop a unified birth–12th grade pathway with clear milestones (dedication, baptism, graduation, etc.)

• A passionate disciple of Jesus who loves Scripture and the presence of God, and leads from a non-anxious, prayerful life.

• Someone who genuinely loves kids, teens, and families and is energized by being with them. 

• A team-builder, not a solo hero—skilled at recruiting, training, and caring for volunteers.

• An engaging communicator with middle and high school students.

• Emotionally healthy, humble, and collaborative; 3–5 years of meaningful Kids/Youth ministry or transferable experience preferred.

• Salary: $60,000-75,000

• Status: Full-time, exempt, clergy designation

• Benefits: Medical stipend, competitive paid time off, reimbursable ministry expenses. 

• Growth: Designed to progress, after a 6–9 month mutual discernment period and positive review, toward Pastor of Kids & Youth with expanded influence and pay adjustment, plus ongoing development (coaching, conferences, etc.).
